E-mailDIABETIC SUPPORT GROUP –
The Diabetic Support Group meets once a month, usually the third Wednesday of each month, in the new Welcome Center of the church (old library area). Each month, a different Diabetes related topic is presented either by Sandy Hartman or by an outside professional speaker. The group is open to all members of the Church and Community who are Diabetics, Pre-Diabetics, Caretakers of Diabetics, or who have a strong family history of diabetes. The meetings are short lasting from 10 – 11. There are no fees or dues to attend these meetings. For more information, please call Sandy at 625-4513, Ext. 105.
LOW VISION CLUB –
FUMC is the host for the Comal County Low Vision Club. Our meetings are held once a month, on the last Tuesday of each month. We meet in the new Welcome Center of the church (old library area), from 10 – 12. The San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind attends our meetings on a quarterly basis. Each month, we have a very interesting speaker, and talk not only about medical issues, but about city, county, state, and federal issues. The group is open to all in the church and community who have any type of visual problems, and to their caregivers. There are no fees or dues for attending these meetings. FRIENDS OF THE SUNSHINE CLASS –
We are looking for those who are interested in being a part of this wonderfully awesome group of special needs adults. The duty of a friend is to be just that…a friend. We are looking for someone to sit with them in church services once a month, remember them on their birthdays and at Christmas, and to come to their annual September picnic and ride the train an eat picnic fare with them.
